A few questions to ponder…

5654776226_bd9d144a97_z

On a short 3 hour bike ride on Saturday with bromantic overtones galore, some critical questions popped up between myself and one Collin Allin. We have spent years riding in some amazing places and we always talk about the important things in life i.e. Bicycles and Girls. We`ll keep material to the first topic today and I was hoping to get a bit of a discussion going in the comments area of this post for the pure purpose of putting down something you want, putting it out there to a greater powers and letting the world know that this is what you are lusting for when it comes to 2 wheels. Here we go:

1. If you could ride any road bike, what would that be? Frame, Wheels & Groupset.

2. If you could ride any time trial bike, what would it be? Frame, Wheels, Groupset and Aerobar.

3. If you could ride any mountain bike, what would it be? Frame, Wheels, Groupset and Tyre selection.

4. What is the greatest bike product ever invented?

I could spend a day talking about the first question, so give me your 4 answers below and I will add my selection as we go. Interaction interaction. Currently I am riding a Cervelo P4, a Black Spade Racing Road, a Morewood Kwela 29 and am busy building a custom single speed bike for commuting. Are these my 4 ultimate rides? Answer the questions and let’s see…

1) Specialized Venge/Zipp 303 front and rear/SRAM Red Black Edition

2)Specialized Shiv/Zipp 404 front and rear/SRAM Red Black Edition

3) Morewood Zula (my hand polished frame if it wasn’t broken!)/Stan’s MMX Podium rims laced to Chris King wheels/SRAM XX full gruppo/Geax Siguaro Tubeless tyres…..basically what I have now, except with the addition of XX. I loved that bike! I just need a new frame after Xterra Santa Cruz..

4) Serious toss up between clipless pedals and tubeless tyres. Those and foam grips. Cos they’re awesome.
