A gilet should be the most powerful piece of kit in your collection. Just warm enough for the warm-up out the door, just breathable enough on the back for descents (and keeping your chest warm) and small enough to fit in the back pocket easily. We’ve added another dimension with this one.

Gilet pockets are a hack, right? Hack city flapping in the wind, or having to lift the entire gilet just to get a quick picture for the Gram? Hack. Need a gel when bonking and you’re reduced to tears on the side of the road trying to lift that gilet high enough to get those vital calories.
